So, Mick's the only other Ohioan on here, but y'all are gonna have to bear with me.

I've been selling T-Shirts, stickers and buttons with the words "FUCK YEAH" emblazoned over the state of Ohio, for a few years now.

This year though, I finally got around to launching a blog, so 3 days a week I post something awesome about Ohio or an Ohioan.

The challenge isn't finding enough awesome things about Ohio. I'm pretty sure I could go 5 days a week, if I had the time. The challenge is keeping it sincere. Oh sure, I lapsed a bit and posted about the guy who made an igloo with cable TV, but that's seriously kinda cool and I stand by it. I could go all sarcastic bombastic, but that joke wears thin real quick. Sincerity is more rewarding anyway.

If you want to learn more about Ohio in small measured doses, feel free to follow along at http://fuckyeahohio.com/

No bonus points will be awarded if you do and I won't think less of you if you don't. I just felt kinda weird not promoting it at all.

I think it's neat that you do this. Especially since Ohio isn't usually a state being touted for all of its greatness like some others are. I'll probably pass this along to my dad, brother, and maybe even uncle, all of whom reside in Ohio. Definitely to my friend Chris who is from Cleveland and is a big fan.

That's a good question. So far, I've only mentioned the NFL (originally The Ohio League).

We have a few pro baseball players I'll have to mention and I'll have to mention OSU football at some point, but I think I'll wait until next season.

Not having attended OSU, I'm one of the few folks around who doesn't really care about OSU football.

The funny thing is, I've lost count of Ohio tattoos. They're really popular. Last time I was in Texas, I saw a girl with an Ohio tattoo. I've been at shows here where I've counted at least 3 folks with Ohio tattoos at once.

Cool project. I don't think I could do the same thing for Illinois. I barely leave the city limits.

I'm not really from Ohio, I'm from Cincinnati. We're inconveniently located just inside the state's southern border.

Not that we want to be on the other side of the border with all those southerns either. We think of ourselves as more of a city state, like the Vatican but with more Germans.

If I see anything Fuck Yeah-able, I'll pass it along.

I remember that full page "AT LEAST IT'S NOT CLEVELAND" ad that ran at some point in the mid-90's.

I like to think of Cincinnati as the capital of red Ohio.

The two big suburbs north of Cincinnati (West Chester and Mason) are the capitals of Red Ohio. The city itself has turned a bit bluer

I assume every state has this sort of thing going on. The part of Virginia I live in is known as "occupied Virginia."

I remember a farm in northwest Ohio getting busted for slavery, when I was in college.

I really like that article. Instead of simply parroting the stats, it discusses the difficulties in getting the numbers and points out that few others are even making an attempt.

The U.S. House voted 378-3 for a resolution naming Dayton, Ohio - home of Wilbur and Orville Wright - as the place where aviation was born. The measure passed the Senate late Thursday on a voice vote.

Ohio is also the state that has produced the most astronauts, 24 in all, including John Glenn and Neil Armstrong.

    Suck it!

Aviators may have been born in Dayton, but Aviation wasn't.

Why does Ohio suck so bad that everyone tries to escape by air?
